geosphere systems
In 2000, Geosphere Systems was a start-up software development firm that
had recently launched an interactive program designed for use during emergencies
in chemical and other high-risk manufacturing facilities. The company’s senior
management team consisted of well-known players in the chemical field, and the
software was cutting edge, both in terms of technology and its use as a tool
to meet new industry safety standards.
In order to promote both the brand and product to the chemical
industry, we developed an integrated marketing strategy that focused
on the three elements: senior management as industry experts, cutting-edge
technology in the program and the appropriate functionality of the
program in relation to the new safety standards. In order to meet
the marketing objectives while controlling costs, the program focused
on attracting media coverage and gaining visibility at industry
events. Geosphere was featured in publications across the industry
including Chemical News, Chemical Week, and Chemical
Engineering Magazine. Coverage also appeared in the Philadelphia
Inquirer, Philadelphia Business Journal, and The Intelligence/Record.
Senior management appeared at key trade events as speakers and panelists,
resulting in additional media and prospective customer attention.
